Egg Hunt

We took Gus and Drew to our neighborhood Easter egg hunt the Saturday before the big day. What a gorgeous weekend for such a great holiday! Here is Drew posing for her first Easter egg hunt.
The grownups (and Gus)were disappointed in the fact that there was NO CANDY in the eggs! What?? Only stickers and worthless tchotkes that did not thrill any kid. What happened to the days of jelly beans and chocolate footballs in foil? Sigh. Nothing is fun anymore.
Gus going through the tenth egg just KNOWING there are some Skittles in there somewhere.

Adorable Drew

Look at this little charmer! She is really starting to fill out her tub!

She loves splashing her chubby feet and watch my reaction....

and then smiling at the beautiful baby she sees in the mirror.

Funny Faces

This is what was going on on the other side of the breakfast table this weekend.

"Hi Baby Sister! Its your Big Brother!"

He can even talk back to her in her dolphin-squeak high-pitched chatter that kills my ears but they both seem to enjoy very much.

Porch Play

Gus' friend Milo came to play this weekend. It was a gorgeous Saturday especially for February - upper 60's with plenty of sunshine.

Then Milo's baby sister Ella came to visit as well. Gus is only a few weeks older than Milo and Ella is a few months older than Drew. We are so excited to watch them grow up together.

Beautiful Ella posed in a matching lawn chair at our house. Look at all of that gorgeous hair!

Daddy and Drew

We took a break from watching "Fat, Sick, and Nearly Dead" this weekend to eat waffles (kind of like our old habit of watching Extreme Makeover while eating chocolate chip cookies with our friends. Dont' judge) and snap some shots.

Drew's reaction to watching her big brother on the other side of the table.

Of all of us he makes her smile the most and laugh the hardest without actually tickling her.

A New Beginning

Happy New Year! I have vowed to be a better blogger this year, having started out so strong before kids, pretty good with Gus, then pictures only with Gus and now sporadic pictures of both kids. I need to be better! I always enjoyed keeping family and friends abreast (love that word) of the family goings-on and even a little writing just to remind myself I still can. We are celebrating the first year in our new house with TONS of projects done by Aaron which I will post soon and of course, Gus' new baby sister. Keep you posted on what keeps us busy day to day. Happy New Year!

Pullen Park

We kicked this new year off with a trip to Pullen Park with our neighbors, the Molinas (lovely family, just lovely). The park is awesome after its renovation! Beautiful carousel that I should have photographed, old fashioned boats (which terrified my usually fearless 3 year old??) and most importantly, a choo-choo.

There was a beautiful, but very serious-faced little baby there. Check out those blue eyes!

Oh wait! Its Drew!

The girls hanging out while big brothers road (or screamed) in boats. One day there will be FOUR different kids to catch on a day like today!
