Winter has found me busy playing with my pictures on picasa.. planning many new plantings and gathering groups of pictures from this past year. Good fun while waiting for winters weather to wander away. (CLICK ON PICTURES TO VIEW UP CLOSE)
Considering this palette for an interesting rose garden.. rice paper plants juxtaposing rose petals.

I LOVE that top Meredith College collage...it's top-notch landscaping visions (like Aaron's!) combined with hard work that makes it all possible. I marvel at how inviting it all looks and how rarely we see workers that make it so lovely, year in and year out!
FWIW, in my unprofessional opinion, the pastel roses and papery leafs look nice together. Really nice. But if you're going to add any red or crimson roses, you'll have to get some dark, almost holly-green foliage in that part of the garden. And what is a rose garden without any red roses?! I don't know though...you could stay with all pale roses, I guess.
And yes, we wait patiently for winter to yield to spring here in the Northeast, too. Days are lengthening. Moons wax again after waning, but it feels far off still.
Until then, the solution must be to meet in Savannah, GA! I'll call you soon, Aaron, to discuss. :-)
Love, your sister, -Sunessa
