Nursery Inspiration Board

Vintage 50's pull down map
Morrocan rug (in orange)
Blabla sock animals
adorable "Jellycat" lions - supersoft

Steal of a crib similar to high dollar modern crib I loved. This is not the bedding we're using. Unsure of that at this time.

Already purchased antique teak bench

Not too soon to start baby collecting Jonathan Adler pottery like his mom.

Possibly a large plush giraffe or something

The nursery is far from done but we do have some pieces assembled. Here are some inspiration pieces we are using for sure or just using to inspire the look. We'll be using turquoise, green, and orange as most of the color and the vintage pull down map pictured is similar to the one we are using as "art" off of ebay. This has been somewhat of a challenge for me as I am not liking most children's furniture and I promise that there will be some functional pieces in there! We're kind of doing it intuitively by what we like and think our son would like until he has his own opinion. Then bring on the Cheryl Tiegs posters and lava lamps! Just kidding. Keep you posted!

Thanks guys. Its been a challenge. I normally take as long as I want with things and go without something until I find something I can't live without and then just make it work but there's a time table for this one! Keep you posted!

Hi Stac and Aaron,

Love the baby room inspirations and color palette. This will be so adorable. can't wait to visit and snuggle with all of the furries and baby too (-:

PS. Where will you display the ballerina and workout mice?

Much love, aime' and Peter

Oh my God. I cannot believe you just said that. If you look at the Pito the Cat post I had to make a comment about stuffed mice and that was before I even ready your comment on this one. So frigging weird. Believe me - I have thought about where to put them. Aaron thought it was so funny that a non-packrat like myself told my mom to chuck everything from their move from PV to KY - tiny little tea sets, prom dresses and all but said "Wait - where are my stuffed mice?" I mean, geez, how do you replace something like that?

I think you should create a mobile out of the different mice, nurse, workout, cinderella, etc I've heard it helps to develop the sense of humor at a VERY young age (-:

PS. maybe you could add the bikini clad mouse and some cabbage patch slippers to the mobile as well...

I think it would be even more special to frame my old Miss Piggy sweatsuit and hang it over the crib. Maybe better if he was a girl. I'll just wait until he has a child to give it to him. His wife will be so pleased.
